Middlebury Five-O: The Rotary Club

[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]
A rich and jaunty introduction to the Middlebury Rotary Club, and to the
world of Rotary. A panel of esteemed guests talk about some of the projects
this service organization has created, funded and engineered, from epic,
global concerns, such as the eradication of polio, to local endeavors, such
as Green Up Day and posting US flags throughout the community on
significant days of recognition. The guests relate their various paths into
the Club, all compelled by a basic commitment to positively impact their
communities and the world – sharing their humor, their passion and their
infectious optimism. Recorded 5/5/16.[/ezcol_2third_end][ezcol_1third]

Middlebury Five-O: Beth Dow & Howard Kelton

[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]Two local dignitaries with a tremendous breadth of experience with the old Middlebury Town Office building talk about its rich history at this pivotal moment, as it awaits demolition. Howard describes attending school in the structure, relating what it was like returning after the devastating fire that ravaged the upper story in 1954. Beth talks about her many years of service to the Town spent in the building and the huge array of organizations that have been housed within its red brick walls – including the Police Department, consigned to the dank basement. A fascinating, bitter-sweet glimpse into this municipal landmark that has for so long stood at the center of the Middlebury community. Recorded 4/28/16.[/ezcol_2third_end][ezcol_1third]

Middlebury Five-O: Paul Reynolds of the Vermont Mozart Festival

[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end] A celebrity guest appearance by the eminent and devilishly charming musical genius, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (aka Paul Reynolds)! Wolfy talks about the revivified and reinvented Vermont Mozart Festival, which is drawing young instrumental talent from the far reaches of the nation and gathering it in Vermont to provide epic performances of some of his most beloved work – furthering the careers of these fledgling virtuosos while delighting us music-loving natives. Of special note are some of the fabulous new approaches being explored by the VMF – including a yoga-fused Mozart spa and Mozart madness, which has something to do with basketball (the favorite sport of Amadeus, I’m assured). Recorded 4/14/16.
