Forum on Mass Incarceration

[ezcol_1third]

[/ezcol_1third] [ezcol_2third_end]The forum about incarceration in Vermont starts with a brief overview of Vermont’s use of incarceration followed by a presentation of the Stories Project, which includes excerpts from letters of people who are incarcerated and a few video clips of people who were formerly incarcerated. Lastly, we hear from a panel which includes an array of perspectives connected to the criminal justice system followed by Q + A. The program concludes with a brief overview of progress that has been made in the movement and ways people can help.

Hosted by Vermonters for Criminal Justice Reform in partnership with CVUUS Black Lives Matter, Middlebury Showing Up for Racial Justice and The Turning Point of Addison County.

Panelists: Judge Samuel Hoar, Attorney Pam Marsh, Matt and Beth (community members who have experienced incarceration). Filmed 1/19/17.[/ezcol_2third_end][ezcol_1third]
