MUMS: Big Change Roundup Final Assembly 3/4/16

MUMS students and faculty joined together to celebrate the successful conclusion of the Big Change Roundup, raising over $2200 for the University of Vermont Children’s Hospital. The students vastly exceeded their initial goal, and the assembly features faculty acts performed as rewards for meeting certain fundraising goals. The finale of principals Patrick Reen and Scott Sivo lip synching to Taylor Swift should go down in history. For what, we’re not quite sure, but it’s certainly hysterical, historical, that is. Recorded 3/4/16.

First Wednesdays: “Building Monticello” by Marlene Heck

Jefferson never knew the Monticello we visit today—in perfect condition, impeccably furnished. He died so deeply in debt that the house and contents were auctioned off. Dartmouth College senior lecturer Marlene Heck explains the lifelong project Jefferson called his “essay in architecture.” Filmed by Chris Kirby for Ilsley Public Library and Middlebury Community Television 3/2/16.

Town Meeting 2016 & Australian Ballot Results

Results from Town Meeting voice votes as well as Australian ballot items. All articles passed, but we are still waiting to hear on the contested school board races as the individual town results need to be compiled. Vote tallies reported within this video are Middlebury numbers, with the exception of school budgets and the unified school district articles, which are compiled numbers.
